Ford PAS Technical Assistance is a cooperative effort between Ford Motor Company Fund and Education Development Center, Inc., to provide support and guidance to Ford PAS sites and partners. Our work includes:
- Conducting outreach and partnership development to cultivate new partners and sites
- Assisting with site startup, program integration, and implementation
- Maintaining and enhancing the Ford PAS Web site and curriculum
- Developing and offering professional development. This is done through:
- Professional Development Institutes where teachers get in-depth training on the Ford PAS teaching and learning philosophy as well as course content
- Online courses, which provide teachers with a different opportunity and mode to receive professional development
- Building a network of sites and partners to enhance implementation nationally. Networking activities include the following:
- National networking conference where sites can share their work and best practices with each other
- Blogs and discussion groups, where teachers can share their successes, challenges, ask questions, and have them answered
