PTC now offers the Pro/ENGINEER Schools Edition to high schools. This program replaces Pro/DESKTOP as their 3D design software for students. After teachers complete a training workshop, PTC will donate 300 seats of 3D design software that students can use in the classroom and at home.

Although we recommend that Ford PAS teachers attend an in-person training, that this may not be possible for everyone. PTC will also grant licenses on a case-by-case basis to teachers who become certified by completing online tutorials. If you are a teacher without access to a Introductory Workshop for Pro/ENGINEER Schools Edition, you may request a copy of the software from PTC for self-instruction. Send your name, school name, school address, school telephone number, and an e-mail address to schools@ptc.com and make sure to mention that you are a Ford PAS teacher without access to training. To help you learn the software, a variety of tutorials can be found at www.ptc.com/for/education/schools/teacher_resources.htm. To become certified—and before installing the software on student computers—you will need to submit a completed drawing using the software to Mark Fischer, Director - PTC Education Program at schools@ptc.com.
