What to Submit
Many types of student work are welcome, including written reports, posters, student journal entries, timelines, flow charts, MS PowerPoint® presentations, photographs, presentation displays, AutoCAD® drawings, and completed tests and quizzes. All submissions should correspond to specific assignments in the Ford PAS modules. Ideally, submissions will include a range of examples of students’ work, not just the “best.” You may even consider submitting all of your students’ work from a particular project or assignment.

We also encourage you to submit student work in progress. For example, if you are submitting student reports, we encourage you to include students’ outlines and drafts along with the final versions of the reports—or their work from any part of the process. Please note that not all submitted work will be posted on the Web site.

Eligibility for Prizes

Ford PAS students and teachers who submit student work and meet submission requirements will be entered into a prize drawing. Two prize drawings are scheduled for this school year. The first drawing is on December 17, 2007, for all submissions received by December 14, 2007. The second drawing is on May 5, 2008, for submissions received between December 17, 2007, and May 2, 2008. Should there be insufficient submissions for a particular drawing date, the drawing will not take place, and any student work submitted for that period will be included in the next prize drawing. Each drawing will include prizes for three teachers, two individual students, and one student team. Please refer to the table below for more details.

Teachers are entered once per submission period. Each work submission gives students one chance in the drawing. The more work they submit to Ford PAS, the better their chances of winning a prize! Prize winners will be announced on the Student Gallery page.

* Since many Ford PAS student projects involve work produced collaboratively by student teams, one student team prize will be awarded at the drawing. Each team member will receive a $50 gift certificate (or a lesser value, depending on the number of students in the team), up to a maximum of $250.

Eligibility for the Ford PAS Conference
In addition to being eligible for prizes, a small number of students may be invited to a Ford PAS Networking Conference. Students will be selected based on student work samples received by May 2, 2008, and their relevance to the Ford PAS curriculum themes highlighted at the upcoming conference. Students invited to the Ford PAS conference will travel at no cost. Selected students will
be notified through their Ford PAS teacher and will be asked to complete appropriate travel forms.
Students attending the conference must be accompanied by a school chaperone.
